If you are familiar with the 1963½ Ford Galaxie light weights, and their slightly younger brother, The Thunderbolt Fairlanes, then you are a true aficionado of extreme 1960's Drag Strip dominating Ford Factory offerings.

This particular '63½ Galaxie lightweight could perhaps be the car most all of the few others in existence should aspire to. This magnificent factory built, and painstakingly, completely frame off, restored to a very high-end museum quality standard Lightweight is as close to perfection as one could ever possibly be. Current long-term ownership, and completed with a vast knowledge and tireless research, along with Concours'  D Elegance provenance, this Lightweight is completely first class and four star.

Offerings from the other brands would typically use aluminum to lighten their cars, but Ford decided to use fiber-glass, and perhaps gained a little weight advantage there.

The body panels and fitment of this Galaxie including the rare ultra smooth fiberglass panels are exemplary. The Aluminum bumpers, and brackets are excellent as well.

The lightened frame, the heavy duty suspension, the engine and drive-train, along with the lightened body, all work in concert to provide a ¼ mile drag-strip experience like no other.

Take a look at the under carriage, and you'll see that this Galaxie Lightweight is a nice underneath as it is on top!

Most of us don't have an opportunity to see one of these Drag Strip Icons too often, and to be around these cars is to be around greatness.

Truly a very special, very rare car, for someone looking to bring their Collector Car collection to the next level. Beautiful car everywhere you look!
